Friends, Family , Brothers & Sisters in Arms
On June 24th we will gather to honor the life and legacy of the Fallen of Operation Red Wings , and the attempted rescue by Turbine 33. I would like to talk a moment on my Brother MSG James Tre Ponder III. He was a man who dedicated his life to serving his country , Family and his community, his loss is still deeply felt today by all who knew him.
Tre was a true patriot, serving in the United States Army for over 20 years. He was a highly decorated soldier, earning numerous awards and commendations for his service, including but not limited to the Bronze Star Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, and the Army Commendation Medal.
Tres service extended far beyond his military career. He was a devoted husband, father, son and friend, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He was a mentor to myself and many more always inspiring others to pursue their dreams and achieve their goals.
MSG Ponder was a man of great integrity and character, and his loss was a tremendous loss to the Nightstalker community. We all miss his infectious smile, his relentless dedication, and unwavering commitment to excellence.
As we gather to memorialize him , let us also celebrate his life and the impact he had on all of us fortunate enough to know him . Let us honor his memory by continuing to serve our country ,our community and one another with the same passion and dedication that he did.
Tre , we thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and your unwavering commitment to our country and our SOAR community. You are still deeply missed, but your legacy will live on forever .
