A New Chapter: The Nightstalkers Brotherhood Motorcycle Association Is Now a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit

Building Community One Mile at a Time

The Nightstalkers Brotherhood Motorcycle Association is proud to announce an important milestone in our journey:

The NSBMA is now officially recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

This recognition represents much more than a change in our tax status. It represents another step toward building something that can continue serving our community, honoring the Night Stalker legacy, and supporting the men, women, and families connected to that legacy for generations to come.

What Does 501(c)(3) Status Mean for the NSBMA?

Becoming a recognized 501(c)(3) strengthens our ability to pursue the mission that brought this Brotherhood together.

It provides the NSBMA with greater opportunities to seek charitable donations, sponsorships, grants, community partnerships, and other forms of support. It also provides donors and businesses with the opportunity to make qualifying tax-deductible contributions to our organization.

More importantly, it gives us another tool to expand our impact.

We can build stronger partnerships with businesses and community organizations. We can develop larger fundraising initiatives. We can pursue resources that were previously unavailable to us. And we can continue building the foundation necessary for the NSBMA to exist long after today’s members have ridden their final miles.

What Does It Change?

It changes our opportunities.

It changes the resources we may be able to pursue.

It increases our responsibility for transparency, accountability, recordkeeping, and stewardship of the funds entrusted to us.

It gives us the ability to think bigger about what the NSBMA can accomplish.

But there are some things that becoming a 501(c)(3) will never change.

The Mission Remains the Mission

A piece of paper from the IRS did not create the Nightstalkers Brotherhood Motorcycle Association.

Our people did.

The Brotherhood did.

The memories did.

The names on the Memorial Wall did.

The families, veterans, active-duty service members, supporters, motorcycles, miles traveled, handshakes, stories, laughter, tears, and moments of remembrance built this organization.

That remains at the center of everything we do.

We will continue riding in remembrance.

We will continue supporting the Night Stalker community.

We will continue building relationships between veterans, active-duty service members, Gold Star families, supporters, and the communities in which we live.

And above all:

We will continue to tell the tales and speak the names.

Preserving a Legacy for the Next Generation

One of our greatest responsibilities is ensuring that the stories of those who came before us are not lost with time.

There are names engraved on walls and memorials, but behind every name is a person.

There is a family.

There are friends.

There are teammates.

There are stories that deserve to be remembered.

The NSBMA believes remembrance must be active.

It happens when motorcycles roll together down a highway in someone’s honor.

It happens when a family hears their loved one’s name spoken years after their loss.

It happens when an old Night Stalker tells a young Night Stalker about the men who built the Regiment before them.

It happens when photographs, documents, memorabilia, interviews, and personal stories are preserved rather than forgotten.

Through efforts such as Telling the Tales & Speaking the Names, memorial rides, community events, fundraising initiatives, historical preservation, and continued support of the Night Stalker community, we intend to help carry that legacy forward.

Our 501(c)(3) recognition gives us another foundation upon which to build that future.

More Than Motorcycles

Motorcycles may bring us together, but motorcycles alone do not define the NSBMA.

The motorcycles are simply the vehicle.

Service is the purpose.

Brotherhood is the bond.

Remembrance is the responsibility.

Community is where we make an impact.

Whether we are participating in a memorial ride, supporting a family, raising funds, helping another veterans’ organization, volunteering within our community, or simply being there when one of our own needs a hand, our goal is to leave something positive behind wherever the road takes us.

That is what we mean when we say:

Building Community One Mile at a Time.

This Is Only the Beginning

Receiving our 501(c)(3) determination is not the finish line.

In many ways, it is the starting line.

There is still work to do.

There are partnerships to build.

There are stories to preserve.

There are families and organizations to support.

There are memorial rides still to ride.

There are names still to speak.

And there are future members of this Brotherhood who haven’t even met us yet.

We are building something for them, too.

Someday, today’s members will become part of the history of the NSBMA. Our responsibility is to make sure we leave behind an organization worthy of the people whose legacy inspired it.

The status may have changed.

The mission has not.

We will ride.

We will serve.

We will build.
